If you are living on-campus, yes. All WIT, MassArt, and MCPHS resident students are required to participate in a meal plan. We have worked with each campus to determine minimum meal plan requirements based on your housing assignment or class standing.

If you are living off-campus, no. However, depending on how close you are to any of our dining locations and how often you are on campus, it may be worth investigating whether one of our Commuter Meal Plans will help make your days a little easier.

If you are a commuter student wishing to add a meal plan, please use the link below to begin the process:

https://wentworth.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_1Lzs2bPy9DoAd3T

When you follow the link above, you will see that the third option down is labelled - "Meal Plan Modification: Modify Current or Request a New Meal Plan", please click on this option and complete the process to select and add a non-residential meal plan to your account. The plan will be added to your campus ID and the cost will be added to your student bill. Please note that our full residential meal plans are also available to you if you feel that the more extensive options would be a better fit for your dining needs and schedule.

We are currently updating the procedure on how to purchase your Commuter Meal Plan. In the mean time, if you would like to purchase a meal plan, please speak to a manager at one of our dining locations. Meal plans are valid from 9/1/2022 through 8/31/2023.

Your meal plan will be loaded onto your Student ID at the start of each semester.

Anytime Meals (Meal Swipes) are used to enter our All-You-Care-to-Eat Dining Hall, Beatty Dining Commons or when you select eligible items from our Swipe Anytime options at Eat> Cafe or Eat> Food Market. Anytime meals are valid for the current semester, any unused Anytime Meals are forfeited at the close of each semester.

Dining Points are funds included with the purchase of your meal plan or added to your Dining Account dollar-for-dollar. These can be used at any of our WIT, MassArt, or MCPHS dining locations and work similar to a pre-paid debit card, with funds being deducted as you use them. At the close of the fall semester, any unused Points will rollover with continued participation in a meal plan. At the close of the academic year, unused Points are forfeited.

You cannot. We have what are called "meal periods". You are permitted to use 1 meal swipe per meal period. This is to help you budget your meal swipes a little easier over the course of the semester.

Meal PeriodTime
Breakfast7:00 am - 11:00 am
Lunch11:00 am - 5:00 pm
Dinner5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Late Night (Sunday-Thursday Only)8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

For an example: If you have breakfast at 8:00 am, the next time you can use a swipe at Beatty Dining Commons, Eat> Café, or Eat> Market is at 11:00 am.

We know your schedule may not always allow you to get to Beatty for all of your meals. To help accommodate you, we've started a Meal Equivalency program at Eat> Café and Eat> Food Market called Swiped Anytime. How it works:

  1. For Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner your meal swipe is worth a set dollar value
  2. Select any number and combination of included items
  3. At check-out, tell your cashier that you will be using a meal swipe
  4. The applicable equivalency value will be applied to your total amount due
  5. After the dollar value is deducted from your bill, any remaining balance or cost of ineligible products must be paid for using Dining Points, Dining Flex, Fenway Cash, Credit/Debit Card, or cash.
Please visit the Eat> Cafe or Eat> Food Market pages for specifics on values and eligible items.

Exclusions and Limitations
  • Limit 1 beverage and bag of chips per transaction
  • Limit 1 Meal Swipe per Meal period at any dining location
  • Any packaged snacks and other barcoded items are excluded, with exception of the items listed on the applicable dining location page

Your Anytime Meals are non-transferrable. If you have a guest or visitor with you and you want to eat at Beatty, you can pay the door rate using either your Dining Points, Dining Flex, Fenway Cash, Credit/Debit Card, or Cash.

All-You-Care-to-Eat Dining is exactly what it sounds like. Upon entry to Beatty Dining Commons, whether you used a Swipe or paid the applicable door rate, you have unlimited access to all the delicious and nutritious offers available. If you find yourself looking for seconds or are finished with your main course and are craving something indulgent - simply walk back into the serving area and select what you like.

Yes. Your day is busy, and we understand that you may not have time to sit in the Dining Commons. You are more than welcome to participate in our Green-to-Go container program (WasteWatch REUSE) and take your meal to-go. Here's how it works:

  1. Purchase your container for $5 (a one time fee) from the cashier at the entrance of Beatty Dining Commons.
  2. Fill your container with your meal.
  3. Exit Beatty Dining Commons and eat your meal.
  4. Give your container a quick rinse.
  5. Return your container in the designated bin at the entrance to Beatty Dining Commons.
  6. Ask for a new container if you will not be dining in, or get a carabiner to exchange for a new container at no cost for the next time you want your meal to go.
There are a few things about the WasteWatch REUSE program that you should be aware of:
  • If you lose your container or carabiner, you will be required to purchase a new one.
  • You cannot dine-in at Beatty Dining Commons and also take a meal to-go.
  • Our checker will be asking for your name when giving you your container.

Of course! First, we encourage you to speak with one of our managers so we can better understand your specific needs. Our aim is to collaborate with you to ensure access to a safe and inclusive dining experience. All dining locations offer a wide variety of plant-based options and gluten-friendly alternatives, and the Top 8 allergens will be clearly named on our menus.

Simple Zone is our Allergen Friendly pantry where we stock food items that are free from gluten, peanuts, and tree nuts. Additionally, we have separate equipment like bagel slicers, toasters, and refrigerators to help further minimize any cross-contact contamination. You can find Simple Zone pantries at both Eat> Café and Beatty Dining Commons.

Beatty Dining Commons, located on the Wentworth campus, is home to our Clean Eats Powered by Simple Servings platform. At Clean Eats Powered by Simple Servings, meals are prepared without 8 of the top 9 FDA-recognized allergens and gluten. All team members who work at Simple Servings have also undergone training specifically dealing with food allergens and are AllerTrain certified.

Looking for plant-based? Beatty Dining Commons also hosts Rustic Roots; a fully plant-based station that serves both cold salads and hot entrées prepared without animal products.

If you need more support in managing your diet, we will be more than happy to coordinate a consultation with our area Registered Dietitians to assist you. If you'd like to schedule an appointment, please e-mail our team at: eatatcof.usa@sodexo.com.

Of course! For those who are not on a meal plan, to gain entry, you can pay the applicable Door Rate. If you find yourself dining in Beatty Dining Commons often, we do recommend that you buy a meal plan as it may be more beneficial.
