Special Dietary Needs and Food Allergies
We take pride in serving you wholesome ingredients, preparing recipes accurately, and providing nutritional analysis and ingredient statements through our online menus and nutrition calculator. From our Resident District Manager to our frontline team members, we work carefully to address food allergies, celiac diets, or other special dietary needs.
Self-advocacy is an essential element in order to make the most of your dining experience. Here are some steps you can take to advocate on behalf of yourself:
- Report your allergies to your school's Office of Accessibility Services. Your information is protected by FERPA.
Wentworth Institute of Technology: AccessibilityServices@wit.edu
Massachusetts College of Art and Design: Student.Accessibility@masssart.edu
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences: OSAA@mcphs.edu
-
You will be directed to our Registered Dietitian to discuss your food allergy and learn what additional accommodations we can provide.
-
Always tell your server you have a food allergy when placing your order. If you are unsure if an item contains an allergen, please ask any of our supervisors or managers; our team members have detailed ingredient information of the menu items we serve. Plus, many of our chefs, management, and supervisors are AllerTrain U certified on food allergies, celiac disease, and understanding the importance of preventing cross-contact of items during preparation.
-
Consider wearing a medic bracelet. Many may be unaware of your allergies.
-
Always carry your medications with you, including an EpiPen if you require one.
We want to create an exceptional dining experience for you and knowing about your food allergies or intolerances will help us do just that!

Mindful
Mindful is Sodexo's health & wellness approach that helps you make healthy choices second nature! We are committed to creating healthy environments for our customers. Central to this effort is providing healthy, nutritious foods. The result of this initiative is an approach that focuses on transparency of ingredients, delicious food, satisfying portions and clarity in message so that you can make Mindful choices!
Mindful offerings meet stringent nutritional criteria based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Each meal part is limited in calories, has fewer than 30% of calories as fat, fewer than 10 % of calories as saturated fat, and is restricted in sodium, and cholesterol. Look for the Mindful icon to indulge in the healthy and delicious items offered at each meal.
Menus
Our station and online menus include key nutritional information. Look for the Mindful, Vegetarian, Vegan, or other icons to easily identify menu items that focus on wellness and other dietary preferences.*
Our menu system supplies ingredient statements specifically highlighting gluten and the Top 9 allergens: milk, eggs, shellfish, fish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soy, and sesame. You may check on the presence of allergens prior to planning your meals using our online menus. The absence of allergens listed on posted or electronic product signage is not a guarantee that the product is free of that allergen. You will be responsible for communicating your allergy to a supervisor or manager to ensure your safety.
*These icons are not present on national brand menus like Starbucks and Hissho Sushi. Please reach out to eatatcof.usa@sodexo.com to request this information if needed.

Clean Eats powered by Simple Servings staff members are carefully trained to avoid cross-contact with food allergens.
Separate equipment, storage areas, utensils, and preparation areas minimize but do not eliminate, the chances of gluten and allergens to our Simple Servings food. About 75% of Clean Eats powered by Simple Servings items also meet our Mindful criteria, which makes it an easy and healthy choice for customers who are focused on ingredients, blood sugar, and other health issues.

Grown
Grown is a dining experience that celebrates whole, plant-based foods and aromatic flavors with recipes that substitute animal protein with nutrient-dense plant alternatives.
Eating a plant-based diet does not mean you can't eat meat, but that your meals are made mostly of plants. Plant-based cooking embraces globally diverse recipes that are good for your health and the environment. When you choose a plant-based meal you're supporting your immune system, increase your fiber intake helping you stay fueled longer, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, saves on water usage, and contributes to ensuring a sustainable and accessible global food system.
Grown is located in Beatty Dining Commons.
